CESON often organizes discussion, sharing, and debate sessions on the issues and concerns of
comparative education. Although these programs are not regular, they are considered important
to bring education issues to the fore. In such programs, the personnel working in universities,
government organizations, non-government organizations, students, and freelancers are invited to bring debate and insights on the issue. One of the sessions organized by CESON was on the
management of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), in which Prof. Tanka
Nath Sharma presented the issues and challenges of technical and vocational education in Nepal.
The presentation was primarily followed by a discussion among the participants from different
sectors. In a similar discussion, Prof. Mahesh Nath Parajuli presented the contemporary
concerns of school education in Nepal.
